The building went up in the early 1900s as a water pump station for Kings Mountain homesteaders, spent decades as a frontier saloon, and went dark in 2022. Dmitry Elperin and William Roberts, both Michelin-starred, reopened it in February 2023 at 13808 Skyline Boulevard, cooking what they call ingredient-driven food rooted in provincial tradition, under some of the tallest trees in California.
