A web font that shows readers your words and scrapers someone else's

Shieldfont

Type into Shieldfont’s Writer and it exports HTML where “winners” reads as “avengers” and “toy gun” as “sofa car” in the raw markup, while a custom OpenType font substitutes the real words back in for anyone viewing the rendered page. Copy-pasting a shielded paragraph grabs the decoy words too — a real cost for legitimate readers, not just scrapers. It’s economic obscurity, not encryption: reverse-engineer the specific word mapping, one of three built in, and the trick stops working.
