Robata-grill izakaya in Shoreditch with karaoke, DJs, and hand-painted noren

Mitsu

Mitsu transplants Tokyo street-food culture to Shoreditch via Madrid: the centerpiece is a robata grill, the back rooms hold karaoke and a DJ booth, and design studio Astet hung hand-painted noren fabric panels through the dining room. The visual reference is 1970s–80s Tokyo, neon and all — but the smoke is real.
