Idalia at Pillar Hall

Fine dining inside a 30,000-sq-ft Victorian hall in West London

Idalia at Pillar Hall

Pillar Hall is a 30,000-square-foot Victorian space in Olympia best known historically as the venue where Vivienne Westwood debuted her Pirate collection in 1981. Des Gunewardena (D&D London co-founder) has converted it into Idalia: chef Samantha Williams (ex-Angela Hartnett) running seasonal British produce as “food for celebration, not contemplation,” with Robert Angell’s interiors leaning into the building’s ceremonial scale. Pastry is run by Lorena Tommasi (ex-Jeremy King). Address: 5 Olympia Way, W14 0EY.
