The HTML Review, Issue 05

The HTML Review is a free annual journal of writing built to exist on the web rather than be printed from it. Issue 05 (Spring 2026) runs fifteen pieces deep, including “Intersymmetric: Connect,” a multiplayer music system by James Bradbury, Rian Treanor, and Mark Fell that turns visitors’ inputs into a shared audio survey, and “carecore,” a piece of generative CSS botany by Raphaël Bastide dedicated to caregivers. There’s also a CSS webtoon, a folktale, and poems that lean on the page itself as part of the text — the kind of work that would lose something if you tried to put it on paper.
