3,000 corporate covers from when companies hired illustrators

The Annual Report Gallery

For most of the last century a company’s annual report was a design commission, so illustrators and photographers got hired to put a face on a balance sheet. Three thousand of those covers, 1945 to 1991, are here — and the search is the good part: filter by decade, by industry, by dominant colour, or by what is actually pictured on the cover. Ask it for orange, or for machinery, and watch four decades of corporate self-image sort itself out.
