Shottr
The screenshot tool that takes its job seriously
A native macOS screenshot utility that fills in what Apple’s built-in tool leaves out: scrolling capture, on-image OCR, pixel ruler, color picker, and proper annotation. Free for personal use; one-time purchase for commercial.
Scrolling capture stitches long pages into a single image with clean seams. OCR pulls text from any region you select — including blurry video frames — and can erase it in place against the surrounding background. There’s a pixel ruler, an element-sizing mode, blur-for-redaction, numbered callouts, and arrows that snap to common angles. The capture cursor shows live pixel coordinates while you drag.
Pinned screenshots float above all windows, so copying from one and pasting into another is a single motion. Native Cocoa, no Electron — opens in well under a second. macOS 12+.
