Zhang Yulin

One sheet, folded to a wedge, cut through every layer at once

Zhang Yulin

The whole technique is in the fold. Zhang Yulin creases a single sheet down to a wedge, sketches the design onto the top face, then cuts through every layer at once with scissors sharp enough that the stack never shifts. Unfolded, the pattern is symmetrical in a way no drawn version would be, because it was only ever drawn once. English captions.
