Vivace plays unencrypted DVDs complete with their original interactive menus — chapter selects, language options, the works — inside the same single-process Qt application that handles ordinary video files, with no separate mplayer or mpv process running underneath. It’s a ground-up successor to SMPlayer’s feature set (playlists, bookmarks, subtitle switching, a video equalizer) built on Qt Multimedia’s own FFmpeg backend instead of bundling an external player, with a macOS .dmg alongside Windows and Linux builds.
