Üç Haçlı Kilise, the Three Crosses church, is carved straight into a Cappadocian cliff, with three monumental crosses cut into its roof. The rock may date to the 600s, while the frescoes came around the 900s. Behind the nave is a monks’ dormitory with five rock-cut beds, and you reach it on foot through the Red Valley, up a wooden ladder.
