macOS 27 drops AFP, and Apple’s Time Capsules only speak AFP/SMB1 — so this open-source project flashes a modern Samba server directly onto the Time Capsule’s own hardware, storing the binary on the internal disk and running it from a 16 MB RAM disk the firmware can’t evict. A companion mDNS helper advertises the share over Bonjour so it just appears in Finder’s Network pane, and there’s a GUI installer for those who’d rather not touch the CLI.
