The Narrows isn’t a path beside the river — it is the river. The Virgin River carves a slot canyon through Zion where the walls climb a thousand feet, the floor is sometimes ten feet across, and the trail is whatever rocks and pools the current allows. Closed-toe water shoes and a walking stick are required equipment, not suggestions.
