The whole rotunda goes to one artist and one subject: 42 multipart works tracing the working life of a single unnamed federal agent — TWA Flight 800, the Pentagon debris field, a Gulf War diplomat, and the Quantico sessions that taught Jodie Foster how to be Clarice Starling. It is the first monographic show by a photography-based artist in that spiral, and the largest debut of new work the museum has ever staged. Opens 18 September, runs to 14 March 2027.
