Irish immigrant Edward Riley built these four terrace houses and a corner shop on Gloucester Street in 1844, and working families lived in them for well over a century. The museum keeps the original brick privies and open laundries, among the earliest surviving sanitary amenities in Sydney. Entry is by guided tour, Thursday to Saturday.
