Open Snapdrop on two devices sharing a network and each one shows up to the other as a plain icon — no pairing code, no account, no app install. Click a peer and a WebRTC connection forms directly between the browsers, so the file moves device to device without sitting on a server in between. It’s the same trick as AirDrop, minus the walled garden: this build, by original creator RobinLinus, is still the one running at snapdrop.me, actively maintained on a Rust backend.
