Howard Oakley’s free macOS security checker — XProtect and XProtect Remediator versions, macOS and firmware currency, FileVault status — now exports its results as plain text and JSON, making the checks scriptable and database-importable for the first time. The latest beta also runs from a standard user account rather than requiring admin, on Apple-silicon Macs running macOS 15.6+.
