Shadows from mountains, buildings and trees, computed live for any point on Earth at any date and time. The slider is the tool: run it sunrise to sunset and watch a street go dark by halves. It will also total up how many hours of sun a specific spot gets over a day or a whole year, which turns an idle map toy into the thing you consult before choosing a flat, a table, or a bench.
