The stripe here is not an accent, it is the building: orange bands wrapping the façade, scalloped parasols over the terrace, banded loungers, and a pool tiled in vertical stripes so the water reads as fabric whenever anyone swims through it. It is the old Hotel Madrid, a plain local place in Ciutadella, reopened around a courtyard pool with terrazzo and curves where the corners used to be. Fourteen rooms, one idea, no fatigue.
