RGM builds this pilot’s watch in its Mount Joy, Pennsylvania workshop: an American-made case around a Swiss-based movement it finishes and decorates in-house, topped by what’s believed to be the first true grand feu enamel dial depicting Snoopy in his WWI Flying Ace persona. Grand feu enamel is fired in a kiln at temperatures near 1,600°F, each color layer its own firing, with a real chance of the dial cracking before it’s done. The result: a technique associated with Swiss haute horlogerie, applied to a doghouse-and-goggles cartoon, priced from $8,950.
