Quake’s shareware episode loads and plays in the page, drawn by a software renderer ported from id’s WinQuake source to Rust with no dependencies and no unsafe. The author checks it against id’s own C build, pixel for pixel on the 3-D view, and a “classic” preset keeps the 320x200 look. Single-player only, no multiplayer, and the README says Safari and iOS are untested. It was written largely by Claude, and says so up front.
