Plastic Cell, run by two brothers in California, casts each figure — Tupac, Hannibal Lecter, Freddy Krueger, Heisenberg — in silicone rubber at about five inches tall, then hand-paints every one in acrylic, so no two pieces come out quite identical. The likenesses hold up at close range: skin texture, stubble, the exact slouch of a jacket. Each is a limited edition, cast in small batches rather than mass-produced.
