New York Parks gives every tree it manages its own record: 892,947 of them across 539 species, with the London planetree alone accounting for 83,788, or nine percent of the map. You can find the one outside your window, mark it a favourite, and log that you watered it — and the live feed shows people doing exactly that, volunteers tending a Kentucky coffeetree on the Lower East Side this week.
