Museo del Árbol

An open-air museum in Paraguay where the forest itself is the exhibit

Museo del Árbol

The exhibits here are the forest, the river, and the sky — sculptures, a wishing tree, and a giant wooden chair are set into roughly 50 hectares of hillside above the Paraná River, about 30 km from Encarnación. The signature stop is the Silla Gigante, an oversized chair on a lookout platform where a Paraguayan flag snaps in the wind over the water below. It’s open Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, 8am to 5pm — a small, independently run operation, so confirm hours before the trip.
