Type an address and Mirage invents the page: tiled backgrounds, under-construction GIFs, a webring at the bottom, links to sites that will also not exist until you click them. It generates at around a thousand tokens a second, so pages land at roughly the speed a 1998 site would have loaded anyway. Nothing is archived and nothing is real, which is a strange thing to find nostalgic.
