MacUp finds Homebrew, npm, pip, Cargo and 15 other package managers without setup, then lists what’s outdated in one menu-bar popover. The thoughtful part is patience: a new release waits a day before MacUp offers it (four hours for security fixes), so you’re not first in line for a compromised package, and each entry shows its release date and any known advisories. It runs each manager’s own commands, output on screen. Free, MIT-licensed, macOS 14+.
