Germany’s first love-themed path opened above Poppenhausen in 2012 and runs 2.5 kilometres through the Rhön hills. Along it: a plaque naming every wedding anniversary, another with “I love you” in a hundred languages, a swing built for two, and a pair of parabolic mirrors forty metres apart that carry a whisper from one end to the other. You can now be married on the trail itself.
