On the small lawn — 49 squares — 30,954 people found 14,589 distinct ways to cover it, 16% of them perfect, and between them they found all twelve perfect solutions that exist. This is Coverage Path Planning, a cousin of the travelling salesman problem, and the finding is that people are annoyingly good at it without thinking.
