Built in 1982, six years before the earthquake that flattened much of Gyumri, this fountain is assembled from metal plates each shaped like a butterfly in flight. The water has long since stopped, so what remains is the structure itself, still standing in the open and still drawing visitors. Accounts differ on its exact setting and designer, so check the location before you go.
