Joshua Woo sings INXS’s “Need You Tonight” straight through in David Bowie’s voice, but he doesn’t stop at impression: for the chorus he splices in the actual hook from Bowie’s own “Let’s Dance” — “put on your red shoes and dance the blues,” “how you feel? Let’s dance” — until the two songs sound like they were always one track. The mashup runs four and a half minutes, just Woo, a keyboard, and a studio mic.
