InkBoy

A Game Boy emulator that plays at about 30 fps on a 1.54-inch e-paper screen

InkBoy

E-ink is famously too slow for games, and InkBoy plays Game Boy ROMs on a 200x200 e-paper panel at roughly 30 frames per second anyway. The full firmware is MIT-licensed on GitHub: an ESP32-S3 reads ROMs from a microSD card, and a small ESP32-C3 controller connects over Bluetooth or USB-C. The author warns that busy scenes can drop frames and that the custom refresh could wear the panel.
