Arthur Reinders Folmer started this family after losing a game of Battleship to his nephew and noticing the pegs would make letters. Ten styles later, the alphabet is assembled from Meccano strips, wooden train track with the trains still on it, fanned playing cards, Connect Four grids, mahjong tiles and marbles, each drawn in full colour with its own shadows and highlights. It is sold in progress on Future Fonts at v0.14 for $180, and the toy box keeps getting bigger with every version.
