Gallet was founded in 1826, made pilots’ chronographs in the thirties and forties, was sold by the family in the nineties and then simply stopped — never folded, just dormant. Breitling bought the name and has restarted it in time for the 200th anniversary with the Flying Officer, first built in 1939 to track several time zones and worn by Truman. The new one is 40mm steel, Sellita-based, with a 24-city rotating bezel.
