The calendar France used from 1793 to 1805 gave every day of the year its own plant, animal or tool, and this page shows today’s. On 5 October 2026 it read Tridi, 13 Vendémiaire, year CCXXXV: Pumpkin, “a great autumn squash.” The full table of months and days is on the page, along with decimal time, in French or English.
