Emirates’ new economy-class headrest has side wings that fold inward to cradle the head and neck, plus vertical and tilt adjustment, so it holds a sleeping position without slumping into the aisle or your neighbor. It’s leather-padded, part of Safran’s Z400 seat, and already flying on three A350s. The rest of the A350 fleet gets it by year’s end; A380s and 777s follow from 2027, and the incoming 777X will have it built in.
