The Electrical Box Theatre

A 6-by-3-foot utility box that may be the smallest performance space anywhere

In LA’s Arts District, artist S.C. Mero took an ordinary gray utility box — about 6 by 3 feet, the kind you’d walk past without a glance — and turned it into a working theater. There are no tickets and nowhere to sit; the show simply starts when the door swings open after dark, for whoever happens to be standing on the sidewalk at the right moment.
