Diamond Creek

The only spot on the Grand Canyon's 278 river miles a car can reach

Diamond Creek

Of the Grand Canyon’s 278 river miles, Diamond Creek is the only stretch a car can reach — a gravel road dropping through a side canyon on the Hualapai Reservation, first driven by automobile in 1914. Commercial river trips take out here rather than continue to Pearce Ferry, and the Hualapai run their own short trips down that final stretch each warm season.
