The Dakota Flint Clip clips to a belt loop or pack strap like a carabiner, and every part of it does double duty: the clip itself opens bottles, a waterproof flint rod with a built-in striker rides inside the case, and a red LED microlight lets you read a map at night without blowing out your night vision. It’s a Japanese quartz movement under luminous hands, rated to 3 ATM — the dial says so directly, “FIRE STARTER W.R.3ATM.” $85, in stock in orange, grey or black.
