Two Raytheon JAN6418 pentodes — miniature tubes originally built for military gear — sit in the output stage, suspended in silicone so a footstep on the floor does not ring through the music. A button moves between Classic Tube, Modern Tube and Solid-State voicing, and the choice carries through the headphone jacks, the line out and even Bluetooth. It also rips: one press copies the disc losslessly to USB storage.
