Cathedral Park sits directly beneath the St Johns Bridge in north Portland, and the bridge’s twin Gothic arches — 400 feet of green-painted steel rising into vaulted points — turn the park into something closer to a roofless nave than a riverside green. The stone-and-shadow geometry is reliably the most photogenic ten minutes you’ll spend in Portland, especially at golden hour. Free, on the Willamette, easily walked from the St Johns neighborhood.
