A 1970s organic sculpture in Arles converted into gallery and private stay

Casa Ideale

Villa Bank in Arles — an early-1970s organic sculpture by Émile Sala, recognized by France as Architecture Contemporaine Remarquable — has been converted by Luca Pronzato into a hybrid private stay, gallery, and cultural residency. The curved 350-square-metre house holds 67 Carla Sozzani photographs installed as ‘rooms of vision’ alongside Jean Prouvé, Gaetano Pesce, and Philippe Starck furnishings.
