In 1649, Philip IV of Spain married his niece here — not in a palace, but in a lawyer’s house temporarily dressed up for the occasion, where the couple spent their wedding nights. The building was later demolished, but this exact 1998 replica of its doorway includes one real relic: the royal coat of arms above it, donated in 1988 by a family who’d used it as a doorstep since 1940.
