1,500 hours, ten players, and a rule about boiling pasta

SPI published it in 1978 with 1,800 counters and 168 pages of rules across six booklets, recommended for ten players in two teams of five, at an estimated 1,500 hours to finish. The detail everyone repeats is the one that explains the rest: Italian units draw extra water rations, because somebody had to cook the pasta. Wargamer found a group two years into a single game.
