Kool-Aid was invented in Hastings, Nebraska, and the museum there has the artifact to prove it: the original mascot suit, a five-foot fiberglass pitcher of red liquid with legs, a face, and a steel shoulder harness inside. Staff who have climbed in report it becomes unbearable after about ten minutes. It sits in a collection otherwise given over to Great Plains dinosaurs, regional crystals and historical dioramas, which only makes the giant grinning pitcher land harder.
