The Bayeux Tapestry Story in Full

Deep Down History’s 58-minute documentary scrolls through the entire 70-metre Bayeux Tapestry in sequence, using Charles Stothard’s early 19th-century colour tracing so the embroidery reads edge to edge instead of in the cropped stills most retellings use. It follows Harold Godwinson from Edward the Confessor’s court to his death at Hastings, chapter by chapter, timed to the tapestry’s real loan to the British Museum, on display there through July 2027.
