Azuma Farm Koiwai

A 24-room slow-living retreat on a working Japanese farm

Azuma Farm Koiwai

A small architectural retreat embedded inside Iwate Prefecture’s Koiwai Farm — a 130-year-old working dairy. The trade is real: you stay on the property, eat what the farm produces, and the design (low timber, deep eaves, big glass to the pasture) refuses the resort default. Twenty-four rooms total, which is the right size for a place built around silence.
