James Turrell's 100th Skyspace, a domed chamber open to the sky

James Turrell’s 100th Skyspace sits inside ARoS in Aarhus: a 130-foot domed chamber with a 20-foot oculus cut straight into the ceiling, open to the sky in all weather. Visitors lie or sit beneath it as programmed sequences of interior LED light shift against the changing sky, cycling through named programs like Open Sky, Colour Shift, and Twilight. It’s a permanent installation, viewable at any time during a museum visit.
