Apex collapses the choose-your-flavor problem of Markdown by speaking CommonMark, GitHub Flavored, MultiMarkdown, Kramdown, and Marked simultaneously, with tables, citations, file inclusion, fenced divs, and an extensible plugin system on top. The unique party trick is image rendering in the terminal: pipe a Markdown file through Apex and your inline screenshots actually appear in iTerm or any ANSI-capable terminal, instead of being silently dropped. Useful for everything from a quick blog draft to building documentation pipelines that stay readable at the command line.
